About This Tour
This tour connects three of China’s boldest and most vibrant cities. Begin in Shenzhen, a city fueled by tech and creativity.
Then journey inland to Chongqing, a vertical city with an appetite for spice and spectacle.
End your adventure in Shanghai, where colonial charm and futuristic architecture blend seamlessly. Throughout the trip, you’ll explore design districts, smart city innovation, riverside nightlife, and some of the best street food in China.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Shenzhen
Afternoon: Arrive in Shenzhen, check in at your hotel, and unwind.
Evening: Take a sunset stroll along the Shekou Sea World area, where the harbor meets trendy restaurants and sea views. Grab dinner at a local fusion bistro or try fresh seafood near the coast.
Day 2: Tech & Design in the South
Morning: Dive into the world of gadgets and components at the Huaqiangbei Electronics Market, one of the largest electronics hubs in the world.
Afternoon: Visit the Nanshan High-Tech Zone, home to major Chinese tech firms and smart city projects. Stop by a local startup incubator or tech showroom (optional).
Evening: Visit the V&A Design Society Museum, a sleek space blending international exhibitions with China’s emerging design scene.
Day 3: Creative Culture in OCT Loft
Morning: Explore the OCT Loft Creative Culture Park—an industrial space turned arts district filled with independent galleries, street murals, cafes, and concept shops.
Afternoon: Take a bike ride through Talent Park, a coastal park full of greenery, sculptures, and views of Shenzhen Bay.
Evening: Enjoy a relaxed dinner in the Futian or Nanshan area, with rooftop options and contemporary Chinese cuisine.
Day 4: Travel to Chongqing
Morning: Fly or take a high-speed train to Chongqing (approx. 2.5–3.5 hours).
Afternoon: Arrive and check into your hotel. Start your exploration with a walk through the iconic Liziba Monorail Station, where the train passes through a building.
Evening: Head to Ciqikou Old Town, where red lanterns, stone lanes, and local snacks create the perfect welcome. Try spicy skewers or sweet glutinous rice cakes while soaking up the lively atmosphere.
Day 5: Skyline & Spicy Streets
Morning: Ride the Yangtze River Cableway for panoramic views over the river and the high-rise cityscape.
Afternoon: Visit Hongya Cave, a cliffside structure of traditional buildings now filled with shops, eateries, and photogenic balconies overlooking the river.
Evening: Dinner is a must-have experience: dive into a bubbling Chongqing hotpot with local peppercorns and chili heat. Optional: enjoy a Yangtze River evening cruise to see Chongqing’s skyline glow under the stars.
Day 6: Culture or Carvings (Optional Day)
Option 1: Spend a relaxed morning exploring Eling Park and enjoy views of the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers. Visit a local art gallery or museum.
Option 2: Take a half-day trip to the Dazu Rock Carvings, a UNESCO World Heritage site of Buddhist grottoes and stone sculptures (approx. 2 hrs away).
Evening: Enjoy free time or catch live music or cocktails in Jiefangbei district.
Day 7: Travel to Shanghai
Morning: Take a flight or high-speed train to Shanghai (approx. 2.5–3.5 hours).
Afternoon: Settle into your hotel and enjoy a relaxing walk through the French Concession, full of shady streets, European-style villas, and boutiques.
Evening: Dinner in Xintiandi, a renovated historic district with upscale dining, then explore nearby nightlife or have a nightcap on a rooftop bar.
Day 8: Art & the Future
Morning: Visit M50 Art District, home to Shanghai’s top contemporary galleries and creative studios.
Afternoon: Cross the river to Pudong and ascend the Shanghai Tower or World Financial Center for stunning skyline views.
Evening: Walk along The Bund and take in the contrast between colonial buildings and the glowing towers of Pudong. Optional: take a Huangpu River night cruise.
Day 9: Chill Day & Yu Garden at Night
Morning: Start your day with brunch in Jing’an or Xintiandi, where stylish cafés, leafy streets, and boutique shops offer a slower, modern vibe.
Afternoon: Take a relaxed city walk along Suzhou Creek, passing trendy art spaces, old warehouses, and scenic riverfront paths. This is a great chance to see a quieter side of Shanghai.
Evening: Head to Yu Garden and the City God Temple Bazaar to experience its traditional architecture beautifully lit up at night.
Day 10: Departure from Shanghai
